Our School Curriculum page is here to aid in the planning process. We offer a variety of courses from the standard courses required to graduate to accelerated options for students who want to learn at a quicker pace. Dual enrollment courses are formed from a an agreement between high schools, universities, and community colleges where a high school junior or senior enrolls in a college course and simultaneously earns college credit and high school credit for the course. We offer the dual credit courses in the following academic areas:

• English III & IV

• Math Analysis

• Intermediate Algebra

• Statistics

• Government/Economics

• US History

We also offer the following elective dual credit courses:

• Business Computer Applications

• Office Technology

• Word Processing

• Accounting

• Computer Aided Drafting

• Welding

• Automotive Brakes

• Employability Skills

• Nursing

• EMS

• Mass Communications/Digital Media

• Various Online Dual Credit Courses

Advanced Placement (AP) or Honors students are those students who rank in the upper 10 percent of their class in ability, performance, and willingness to work hard both in class and on outside assignments. For these courses, we expect our students to do extensive assignments and reading outside of the classroom.

We offer our Advanced Placement curriculum in the following courses:

• English III & IV

• Chemistry

• Calculus AB

• Statistics

• Studio Art

• United States History

• World History

The AP classes will follow the rigorous curriculum designed by the College Board.

We offer the following honors courses:

• English I & II

• Algebra I (8th only)

• Algebra II

• Geometry

• Pre-Calculus

• Calculus

• Biology I (9th only)

• Anatomy and Physiology

• Chemistry I

These classes will cover the same material as the regular courses; however, the honor classes will be an in-depth, accelerated program.

Please note: The student, parent, teacher, and administration must sign an academic contract before we will allow the student to take honor or AP classes. Any student who meets the enrollment guidelines in the course description for that subject area is eligible to take the AP/Honor classes. Once we accept a student into an accelerated program, he/she will remain in that program as long as his/her performance is acceptable. Changes will be made with teacher/administrator recommendation only.

In the 21st Century, we understand the value of technology and its ability to enhance academic learning by opening up more possibilities for course options for students. Online courses allow students to complete their assignments and coursework over a set period of time.
